Isaiah 40: 11

"He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to
his heart; he gently leads those that have young."

A Little Companion

I found this little toy tucked in with Naomi to keep her company. Please note that I did not put it there. My guess would be Moriah Jane. She is very attentive to such things. So sweet!

Trying to be brave

In case you hadn't heard my husband is being sent to Japan. We just bid him farewell about two hours ago. Sigh. Here is a picture of us saying goodbye at the airporter parking lot. Most of us cried all the way home (including me). Now that we are somewhat recovered I thought it time to update the blog. Guess we'll need to start a countdown. 2 hours down 2 months to go. Wish us luck!

Moriah's Party

We had a fun party for Mo at Grandma and Grandpa's the evening of the 3rd. We had hoped to invite more people but most of the kiddos had a yucky cold(including the birthday girl). It was a beautiful evening. Even Grandpa made it out to the yard to play. The results were a lot of laughter and Eli's black eye and bent glasses. Something having to do with Moriah's foot as she was being swung around by Grandpa.(8 year old boys should not have to wear glasses-right Aunt Wendy!) Anyway we had fun. Grandma and Aunt Vee decorated the dining room so beautifully and then we opened gifts and sang in the living room. I didn't get any pics of the lovely decor. Sorry. Thanks though for the fun night.

Little Naomi and Doggie Piles

This is what the baby was doing while all the racket was going on. Ahhh...sweet slumber.

Birthday Girl

Our Moriah Jane turns 6 today. Just 2 pictures this morning (she decided that the crown, lipgloss and flower would be a nice touch). This morning she flung open the curtains and said, "Mommy, what a glorious, sunny, day to have a birthday!" I had to laugh because it wasn't really sunny at all just slightly less grey then the last several days and not raining for once. But you take what you can get here in Tacoma.
