Isaiah 40: 11

"He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to
his heart; he gently leads those that have young."

Enjoying My Kiddos

Since my children are soon to be temporarily orphaned I decided I ought to do something out of the ordinary last night. So we ate our dinner outside on the grass. After that we started a little fire and roasted some marshmallows. Eli is getting quite the knack. His was perfectly golden all around.

Yes, that is Zeke with a long pointy object.

Joe, having a grand ol' time!

                                                 Gideon picking the perfect 'mallow.

Moriah pondering the flavor of her 'mallow!

After all of the sugar and a movie and a surprise visit from Stu and a speaker phone story from Daddy we had a big slumber party in Mommy and Daddy's room. Everyone except the baby and I slept in until 8.
Sometimes it's fun to do something totally different. Try it sometime. You will be pleasantly surprised.
Next post will be after Hawaii. Hurrah!!!!!!!!!!! See ya then.

  1. Awww, that looks like so much fun! We just had our first fire of the season last weekend complete with marshmellow fun. No slumber party though...great idea! You're such a great mom. Have a blast in deserve it!

  2. It is fun to suprise the kids by acting silly or doing something special. What a great idea and reminder of how special these days with our children our. Your kiddos will remember last evening, I am sure.

I will check in next week to hear all about your time away.
