For many years we have had the great blessing of friends and family giving of their time and energy to show us love. We are so grateful.
However, these past weeks since Kent's departure we have been overwhelmed by everyone's kind generosity. WOW!
I have kept a list of all those who have been so helpful. Then worried that I would leave someone off if I mentioned specific peoples names. That would be tragic. So you will all have to receive a generic thank you from us. You know who you are.
For delicious meals, desserts, prayers, childcare, fellowship, front doors with deadbolts=}, computers with cameras for skyping, lawn care, phone calls, e-mails, blog and facebook comments, etc. we do thank you. Not to mention all the logistics required for meal and other deliveries such as fighting traffic, using gas, car swapping, sacrificing time with your own families or busy schedules or even nap times we thank you. Also for the numerous things that I don't even know about. Thank you. Thank you also to those of you who have offered to help that I have not even gotten back too. I am keeping you in the back of my mind.
You have all helped to ease the difficulty of being without husband and father. We are forever grateful.
Now I have the pleasure of a Saturday morning departure to see my hubby in a tropical paradise to celebrate 10 years of wedded bliss. I am indeed feeling spoiled rotten.
I have spent the last several days pondering how a husbands departure can seem so bleak and terrible when it first occurs. Then God can use these things to show us how big He is. What a comfort. What a Savior. He uses His people too in a remarkable way to bring hope and joy to those who are having difficulties.
Bless you ALL for thinking of and caring for us!
Kent, Bree, Eli, Gideon, Moriah, Joey, Zeke, and Naomi
