his heart; he gently leads those that have young."

A Night on the Town

Yesterday after schoolwork was completed we loaded up on one of the free shuttle buses and headed to the base to meet Kent. As you can see the buses sit just outside our front door. They run several in the morning and afternoon/evening hours. Pretty handy. We caught the 3:30.
On we go
We pretty much had the place to ourselves
This is a picture of the supermarket just down the road
Just some scenery on the way to the base
One very happy bus riding boy
A cool palm tree and Monkey Island in the distance

Almost on base. It takes between 18 and 20 minutes. Just 4 miles but traffic is busy.
Just outside one of the gate after we had picked up Kent
Stopped to get a drink for some of the kiddos

A shot of the shipyard where Kent works from across the water
Verny Park designed by a Frenchman in the late 1800's
The Boardwalk

Neato seat
Neato fountain

Pretty gardens
Fun tower
Getting our Pasmo cards for the public transportation systems

Then we went to dinner. Kent's favorite little whole in the wall. We filled the whole place. Our shoes(which have to be removed) filled the entire entry. All of the food was made from scratch right in front of us. Just one fellow runs the place. Very fun.
Our meals about half done
More Sweetness
This was just my meal!!!!!!!!!!
The sweet chef
The front of the restaurant. Full and tired
From here we walked to the station and took our first train ride. I would have taken pictures but you really do have to hold on because they go really FAST. We literally leapt into bed when we got home. Exhausting but lots of fun.

  1. So cool!! You can tell Moriah she can hold her horses with all that posing though, she can't possibly be big enough to know how to pose so well. Or is it that I'm old? Don't answer that!

  2. Hey Bree!
Looks like you're having loads of fun. Can you send me your address so I can get Ezra's birth announcement to you?

  3. So exciting. What a wonderful oppportunity to experience another culture, to see life from other perspectives. Learn and grow while you're there.
