If we were not from Washington I don't think we would have done the following. But, we did and we are. And Kent had the day off. So, we braved the rain and hopped on a train. Moriah was not sick....she just likes blending in with her surroundings I guess.
Loading up our Pasmo transportation cards
Heading to our destination
We chose Sea Paradise an aquarium/amusement park between Yokosuka and Yokohama
It is on an Island. This is the bridge we crossed to get there.
Let me just say(as you can see from the pictures) we pretty much had the place to ourselves!
First order of business: Buy dorky but life saving rain coats
Building where the Sea World type of entertainment took place as well as the majority of the aquarium tanks
This was called Dolphin Fantasy. Really neat.
There was a beluga in there too. Zeke checking him out.
The dolphins are overhead. As well as many other lovely tropical fish. Fun stuff.
The crazy roller coaster that went out over the water. Eli and I braved it once. Kent, Gideon and Moriah went on at least five times(there were no lines).
Up they go.
Sea World type of performance
Eli volunteered to toss a ring around the seals neck.
Joe heading up to see more exhibits after the show
Sorry. I couldn't help myself.
Too tired to fix this sideways picture
This was my favorite part of the day. It was an escalator that went up through a tube like aquarium. Fantastic.
My Moriah Jane
The crab of your nightmares. It was as tall as Eli. With it's front claws extended it was well over six feet. Yikes.
There was a HUGE sea turtle in there. I think.
These guys went on this crazy drop about 3 times
Up they go. Again.
Beautiful water fountain
I was lovin' Zeke with his umbrella
Another cool aqua tube
Needless to say we exhausted ourselves. We found this funny little Hawaiin/Japanese restaurant after the sandwich supply ran out.
We were so thankful to be out of the rain and have some hot food.
All together it was a fun day. Next time though we will try and go when the sun is shining.
