Isaiah 40: 11

"He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to
his heart; he gently leads those that have young."

Before Christmas is Upon Us

Happy Thanksgiving!
Blogger has changed quite a bit. Without knowing it I loaded the pictures backwards. No time to change it though.
We decided to do Thanksgiving the relaxing way. We sure missed family but we greatly enjoyed slowing down for a few days and spending time staring at God's beautiful creation.

Also...two weeks ago Little Havilah was baptized.
Had to get the pictures up before they were too out of date.

We have much to be thankful for.
God is good!

Price Drop

I know. Already? After 2 Open Houses the consensus was that the house was overpriced for the current market. Rather than sit we decided to reduce. Adventures.

Funny how everything is happening at once. Homeschool, baby due in 18 days(Joseph is keeping track), keeping the house sparkly for potential viewings. Phew. Busy times.

Wanna Buy a House?

A bittersweet Moment.

We have put the house on the Market.

This 4+ hours of commuting a day is wearing on us.

So, spread the word.

August...how can it be August?

So, our summer as been "full". We have been doing a lot of swimming. What beautiful weather!

Last I posted we were celebrating Eli being 12. We had a simple little pool party with a few friends. Complete with croquet and ice cream cake.

Everything after that gets a little blurry. I also have no pics to help me remember all that we did. Eli became a 3rd generation Kalispell camper. He had a blast. We attended the annual Kvale reunion that same week and were blessed to have a chance to get to know our Chattanooga cousins.

We have kept busy doing lots of little projects around the house. As a homeschool Mom you begin to learn that if you don't do those things that have been bothering you for a while in the summer. Well.. it's just not going to happen.

This is the school room. In a moment of weakness a few years back I purchased a white carpet remnant for the floor. Yep, you heard me right, white. In preparation for the fall I decided to dye it. It is a little more mauve than I wanted but SO much better than the stained carpet that was there before.
There has also been a lot of touching up of paint around the house. It is so nice to get a couple of years of dirt and handprints covered with a fresh coat of paint.

After years of patiently waiting for my wisteria to grow it has now decided to do just that. It is fun when something you envision and train actually works out.

Kent got another year older too!

In-laws came to town and spent the days entertaining the kids. Which was particularly nice as I came down with a nasty cold/flu thing.

Opa helped the kids put pennies on the track.
Thanks for a fun time Opa and Oma!

In baby news we have just about 8 weeks left. Wow! Not sure when we turned that corner yet here we are. Lot's of excitement around here to be sure.

What a Month!

Whew! It was a busy June.
We successfully wrapped up school on the 8th in time to spend lots of fun time with cousins.

Here we all are. Minus Steve. BooHoo. Even though you have probably never read my blog, Steve, you were missed! I am sure that Aunt Callie kept most of you readers updated with pictures on Facebook so I will just post a couple.

Believe it or not my big boys already finished their baseball season. Bummer. I LOVE watching these boys play together. Nothing like seeing that team spirit between brothers. High fives after great hits. They both did great! We had a fun Parents/siblings against the players game at the season ending BBQ. So, fun.

We are grateful for coaches Bernie and Marty. They are by far the most patient and kind that we have seen on the UP Parks & Rec teams.

With family still in town we fit in a trip to the new Children's Museum downtown. SO, Cool!

This week brought a Western style VBS to our church. The last day included LIVE pony rides.

Finally we are grateful for this new addition to the family. We have spent the last year successfully paying off every little debt that we owed(except the Mortgage). We didn't have a ton just a nagging credit balance here and something else there. It has been very freeing. I guess we did our own version of Dave Ramsey's concepts. We have never attended a class but they are on You Tube. Anyhoo, we are learning to wait and save before making purchases. It is hard but, SOOO worth it. We have been living with one car for a while now, which hasn't been as bad as we expected. However, recently Kent got a new job. A great job! But.....it is in Redmond. He has had a fun time actually figuring out the transit system and using that with his bike. Except for the days when it rains it has been fine. However, we have been keeping our eyes open for a little commuter car in the $600 range. We saw a LOT of junkers. EW! After lots of looking though and reaffirming our desire to not use credit or take out a loan we came across this little Honda. What a blessing. Kent, the kids and I spent Saturday giving it some love. It should be ready to go in a couple of days. We are grateful for a fresh job and a good little car.
There have actually been Many more happenings this month that I failed to get on camera. Like a surprise birthday party for Mom, a trip to the Pacific Science Center with Lewins, a send off of sweet Aunt Vee into the wild blue yonder. Things like that. I know that July promises to be busy too. I just hope that it slows down a little bit. I am tuckered out.
