What a Month!

Whew! It was a busy June.
We successfully wrapped up school on the 8th in time to spend lots of fun time with cousins.

Here we all are. Minus Steve. BooHoo. Even though you have probably never read my blog, Steve, you were missed! I am sure that Aunt Callie kept most of you readers updated with pictures on Facebook so I will just post a couple.

Believe it or not my big boys already finished their baseball season. Bummer. I LOVE watching these boys play together. Nothing like seeing that team spirit between brothers. High fives after great hits. They both did great! We had a fun Parents/siblings against the players game at the season ending BBQ. So, fun.

We are grateful for coaches Bernie and Marty. They are by far the most patient and kind that we have seen on the UP Parks & Rec teams.

With family still in town we fit in a trip to the new Children's Museum downtown. SO, Cool!

This week brought a Western style VBS to our church. The last day included LIVE pony rides.

Finally we are grateful for this new addition to the family. We have spent the last year successfully paying off every little debt that we owed(except the Mortgage). We didn't have a ton just a nagging credit balance here and something else there. It has been very freeing. I guess we did our own version of Dave Ramsey's concepts. We have never attended a class but they are on You Tube. Anyhoo, we are learning to wait and save before making purchases. It is hard but, SOOO worth it. We have been living with one car for a while now, which hasn't been as bad as we expected. However, recently Kent got a new job. A great job! is in Redmond. He has had a fun time actually figuring out the transit system and using that with his bike. Except for the days when it rains it has been fine. However, we have been keeping our eyes open for a little commuter car in the $600 range. We saw a LOT of junkers. EW! After lots of looking though and reaffirming our desire to not use credit or take out a loan we came across this little Honda. What a blessing. Kent, the kids and I spent Saturday giving it some love. It should be ready to go in a couple of days. We are grateful for a fresh job and a good little car.
There have actually been Many more happenings this month that I failed to get on camera. Like a surprise birthday party for Mom, a trip to the Pacific Science Center with Lewins, a send off of sweet Aunt Vee into the wild blue yonder. Things like that. I know that July promises to be busy too. I just hope that it slows down a little bit. I am tuckered out.
