Isaiah 40: 11

"He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to
his heart; he gently leads those that have young."

Last Chance

For those of you that still read this blog and are curious about what's happening here with our house here is a quick update.
We received a surprise offer on our home a couple of days before Christmas. In fact the inspection ended up being on Christmas Eve.
An immediate problem arose. NO houses on the market up North. At least anything remotely affordable that would still fit the 9 of us.
Panic. Still trying to trust God but REALLY asking Him what we were supposed to do now? I finally had to shut down my computer because I was checking the MLS every 5 minutes hoping that some home would pop up. We now know that God had a different plan for us. One that we had never even considered.
To our surprise about a week ago we made on offer on a lovely home on A street. If you are not aware we know LOTS of people on A street. Including my folks who will be 1 house over. So, instead of leaving my Mom and Dad we are becoming their neighbors.
Now this of course does not answer the initial reason that we put the house on the market. But, we are certain that this is where God wants us. He couldn't have made it clearer. It will shave 20 to 30 minutes off of Kent's commute too so we are at least happy for that. It will most importantly provide an opportunity to hang out with my Dad. We are certain to keep him from getting lonely!
So, now we are packing like crazy people.
Turns out that in a decade you can collect a LOT of junk.
This will most certainly be my last update before the move.
Back to packing!

  1. Happy packing! Will pray that everything goes smoothly with the sale of both houses and with the move. I know it's a huge, huge job!

  2. Welcome to the neighborhood. Hope the unpacking and settling in is going well.
